Log Time from Item View

If you like to dive deep into each task, the item view is for you. It lets you focus and log time on individual tasks right where you're working.

  1. Open the Task: Go to the board on monday.com and click on the task you’re working on.
  2. Find Tracket: If Tracket is already visible in your task view, great! If not, add it by clicking the "+" icon or "More Options" and selecting Tracket.
  3. Enter Time Details: Click on the "+" sign or a button that says "Add time entry" within Tracket. Fill in the time you spent and add any details.
  4. Save: Double-check your details and hit save. That’s it! You’ve logged your time.

TIP: you can also use a timer to automate time entries!

Log Time from Grid View

Prefer seeing your whole week at a glance? The grid view is perfect for this. It lets you log time across different days and tasks quickly.

  1. Switch to Grid View: Open your board in grid view where you can see days and tasks spread out.
  2. Choose a Day: Click the "+" under the day you want to log time for.
  3. Fill in Your Time: A form will pop up for  you to enter how many hours you worked, what on, and any other key points.
  4. Save Your Entry: Check everything is right and save your entry.

Log Time from List View

If you like a more straightforward picture, the list view will suit you. At a glance, you can see all time entries, including multiple entries for the same item, laid out in an organized list. It’s great for tracking daily tasks and their time one by one.

  1. Go to List View: Make sure you're in list view on your monday.com board.
  2. Add Time: Under the task or day you’re updating, hit the "+" icon.
  3. Complete the Form: Enter the hours, task details, and anything else needed in the form that appears.
  4. Check and Save: Watch out for mistakes and save.
